Communal Hydro Energy, Inc. (CHE) was established in 2012 with the aim of “revitalizing local communities by building small local hydropower plants” as the company name suggests.
地域小水力発電株式会社（Communal Hydro Energy, Inc. 略称CHE)は、社名の通り「地域の小水力発電所を作ることで、地域を元気にする」ことを目指して2012年に設立しました。
There are many rivers in Japan. Until now, large-scale hydroelectric power generation facilities have been built with large capital, but if the necessary conditions are met and there are people who want to try small-scale hydropower generation even on small rivers, there is a possibility that even if it is not a large company or government, it is possible. can be pursued. The establishment of the feed-in tariff system (FIT system) has made it possible for local people to own their own power plants.
日本にはたくさんの川があります。これまで大規模な水力発電施設は大資本によって作られてきましたが、小さな川でも必要な条件が整い、小水力発電に挑戦してみたい人がいれば、大企業や行政でなくても、可能性を追求することはできます。固定価格買取制度（FIT制度）が整ったことで、地域の方々が自分たちの発電所を持つことが可能となりました。
