Communal Hydro Energy, Inc. (CHE) was established in 2012 with the aim of “revitalizing local communities by building small local hydropower plants” as the company name suggests.
地域小水力発電株式会社（Communal Hydro Energy, Inc. 略称CHE)は、社名の通り「地域の小水力発電所を作ることで、地域を元気にする」ことを目指して2012年に設立しました。
日本にはたくさんの川があります。これまで大規模な水力発電施設は大資本によって作られてきましたが、小さな川でも必要な条件が整い、小水力発電に挑戦してみたい人がいれば、大企業や行政でなくても、可能性を追求することはできます。固定価格買取制度（FIT制度）が整ったことで、地域の方々が自分たちの発電所を持つことが可能となりました。
Additionally, building and operating a hydroelectric power plant requires people on the ground to watch over and manage the power plant, and to live alongside the river. We will build and operate power plants where local people can receive the blessings of their own rivers. We believe it is our job to help you with that.
